On October 1, 2015, the law firm of Held & Hines LLP filed a class action lawsuit in the Supreme Court, Kings County on behalf of drivers who drive or used to drive for Uber in New York. There are approximately 20,000 Uber drivers in the State of New York. Uber drivers are not being treated fairly by their billion-dollar employer. Uber drivers are also forced to share 30% of their tips with their employer and are not paid extra monies for working overtime in violation of New York State law.
